Why the 500 txn limit?
The UI suggests that there is a 500 transaction limit on the chips.
Is this limit documented anywhere? What's the rational behind it?

Finite memory on the chip?

To me it sounds like a way to limit the Mints liability, if you have to resync your chip with the central authority every so many transactions, they can minimize hack results as soon as possible.

Thanks, Greg.
And what's the rational behind that limit?
I have trouble believing it would be an issue of storage (1,000 transactions would only require about 1MB of storage)…
